Matching Historic Moulding with Modern Technology

Matching those details takes more than finding something similar. It requires recreating the original profile with precision.

Our in house process begins with a sample of the existing moulding.

From there, our CAD designer digitally recreates the profile to capture every detail. That digital design is then used to create a template guide, allowing our tool room to accurately custom grind a steel knife for the moulding machine.

Once the knife is complete, it is installed on one of our moulders to manufacture the finished profile.

Keeping the entire process in house allows us to maintain quality, consistency, and accuracy from start to finish while giving builders confidence that the finished moulding closely matches the original.
